About Capitalist Solutions

Capitalist Solutions is a research institute and think tank set up to promote capitalism and the underlying moral philosophy behind it - namely individualism, reason and reality.

The principle areas of interest are issues affecting businessmen and the public in Hong Kong and Australia. Activities include conferences and seminars to advance capitalism, the sale of books and tapes about philosophy and capitalism and the promotion of local essay contests relating to the novels of Ayn Rand.

About Simon Patkin

Simon Patkin founded Capitalist Solutions in August 2002. Mr. Patkin has a degree in accounting and an MBA. He started his career with BHP – Australia’s largest company and went on to spend a number of years as an accountant and manger in the commercial field. He has also taught Business Communication and Accountancy at the tertiary level. In 2000 Mr. Patkin decided to set-up a think tank devoted to free enterprise and the moral base on which it is built. He worked as an editor in a public relations company for two years and is currently studying philosophy at the Ayn Rand Institute in California.
